Prayer For The Faithful Sample

[ANDROID] Sony Ericsson Xperia updates its X10 and X8, with only the X10 multitouch

Here is a section that should (finally) my loyal readers interested in the Android community after 3 weeks when the blog has turned that around Handball!

mid-November, I had expressed the possibility of finally able to zoom-grip on his Xperia and all this is real now! The

Sony Ericsson Xperia range X10 (including Mini + Mini Pro) and X8 receive bet updated. Only the X10 has the pinch-to-zoom.
We know that Sony Ericsson will no longer update its phones in 2010, regarding version of Android. The information was further confirmed by the French subsidiary of the manufacturer. However, the manufacturer would not completely abandon its phones. Thus, an update for the range Xperia X10 and X8 appeared initially in Japan . It brings the famous "pinch-to-zoom" that Sony Ericsson has so far refused to implement. The update has just crossed continents to arrive on the French phones, as shown our forum. The update is stamped 2.1.A.0.435. In
details it brings:
  • Pinch-to-zoom for Xperia X10 only
  • language support Arabic, Persian, Thai and Hebrew
  • Moxier brings widgets mail, calendar and tasks
  • Moxier is included in the application Timescape
  • can cut videos
  • Videos are recoded when sending MMS (although it was making high quality)
  • Mediascape button displays a "Now Playing" at the top right of the screen, and can switch to landscape mode
  • Increased responsiveness of the phone
The Pinch to zoom is supported than the X10 and recognizes only two fingers (dual-touch). It should however be wary of the announcement, because the functionality is software. The screen itself can not handle this type of movement. Therefore, the results are sometimes wrong, especially when crossing the fingers (in a proportion higher than the Nexus One). The application Google Maps and web browser are officially supported. According videos found on YouTube , Angry Birds would work well too. Sony Ericsson
not forget the three other phones: X10 mini pro, mini X10 and X8. All three received the support of the TAA + (activation of a chip previously unused). This technology is based on a proprietary wireless transmission, to transmit data from sensors. It identifies heart rate monitors, speed sensors, calorimeters ... You can see an explanation of the technology (in English):
